So here's a picture of my new guitar case.. I bought a new guitar and it came in this great big pimp daddy gold tweed case. I was kind of expecting a black case and when I opened the box and saw it I was like, Holy Cow!.. but people seem to love this. Women seem to love it. I can't walk around with this and not draw attention. It's bigger than it looks and that even makes it worse.
But I have to admit that I even like it now. I think I like it better than the guitar that came in it.
Definitely a keeper case... stylin'!! Does the look of the guitar "fit" with the look of the case? What's the inside like? Is it gold velvet? I wonder if you were a street performer, if you'd make extra money just by having that case.
ReplyDeleteThe guitar is a jumbo so I guess sort of. The inside is plush red. I was walking with it to the guitar guy's place and a street person tried to beg money from me..
ReplyDeleteMakes it worse? or perhaps better! A guy's gotta love all the attention from the ladies. It screams musician. (or something of that sort.) :-)lol
ReplyDeleteI don't know Vixey,. I'm a little self conscious about walking around with this. :) Nobody ignores you! I kind of like to be under the radar these days.
ReplyDeletePerhaps I'm having flashbacks from when I had to haul a violin case to school as a kid.. :)
hehe "Pimp Daddy Gold Tweed". You just need some sunglasses and some bling, Don! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd totally take advantage of picking up ladies with it! ;)
I could trade in my Hyundai for a Coupe De Ville and put some long horns on the hood..
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a case like this and we have had a lot of cases go through here. What kind of guitar; will you post a pic? Congratulations on the new case! Oh, er AND the guitar! LOL
ReplyDeleteIt's an Epiphone Masterbilt AJ500M. I wanted to try a round shouldered dreadnought without spending Gibson money.
ReplyDeleteBut now I think it would have been easier to just drive to Bozeman and get the real deal. :) as it's going back into the luthier for the 3rd time today to try and get it dialed in.
A learning experience. I'll add a picture when I get it back.
