Oregon Grape

Here's a picture of some Oregon Grape that my Dad planted. I don't know who's bee that is. I think it's a young bumble bee. There were lots of bees on the Oregon Grape and it was hard to get the picture I wanted as they kept moving around. You can click on the picture if you want to see it bigger.

It was a beautiful day in Montana and Idaho today. Warm in the sun, and yet cool. I drove through the forest after a spring shower with the car windows down and the smell was wonderful.

I retain the rights to all of my photos.  Please do not use without permission.

That is a pretty cute bee.

The flowers on that grape are lovely too. Are the grapes delicious to eat?

I guess you can make some kind of preserve out of it and also wine. My dad may have had that when he was younger I don't know but I never have. The berries kind of look like grapes. I don't think people just eat them.

You're funny.. don't know who's bee it is! I like those flowers, I had a grape vine when I lived in my first house but I don't even recall what the flowers were like on it.

mmmmmmmm, there's nothing like the smell of the forest after a spring shower. So refreshing.

Jules, these have little berries on them not really grapes. They just sort of look like grapes. The leaves are stiff like holly.

Vixey, my favorite time to ride a bike is after a spring shower on a road going through the forest. The bike is so smooth on the wet pavement.
