Centenial Trail Spokane in the Fall

It was nice after work so I came home, skipped dinner and took my bike down to the Centenial Trail (picture above) for a ride along the Spokane River. Not many chances left this fall to do anything after work. Soon it will be dark after work, and the time of darkness will set in, so I have to make the most of every minute after work these days.

While I was riding along I heard on the radio in headphones that there was a bluegrass concert not far from where I live that started in a half hour, so I jammed back home, changed and headed to the Rockin B Ranch. It was pretty sweet. I love bluegrass. I had my own rocking chair, a long neck bottle of beer and some live bluegrass. It doesn't get much better than that.

First, outstanding photo!! Second, how awesome that you got to go enjoy that impromptu (to you) concert last night! Third, what a totally different lifestyle and set of rules you have in the States... as far as I know, if you crack open liquor in a public place at a public event like that here, you would be fined!

In Idaho it's good manners to shoot your gun in the air if you like the music :)

I played at a bar in Montana where you were expected to check your weapons at the bar. I guess they got tired of fixing the roof..

Oh, and they sold the beer at the venue. My rocking chair was right by the canteen. The only downside was that they didn't have Rainier, so I had to settle for Canadian beer.. go figure.
