Cool cool water

Here's a pic of Queenie after taking a dip in the cool cool glacier fed water of Bow Lake in Alberta.  Now that I'm back at the salt mine and it's been 90 degrees for days in a row, I'm longing for a cooler days and cold water.  Another pic of her kayaking on Bow Lake below.

I think that water was about as warm as Lake MacDonald.. slightly warmer, maybe? But definitely still shockingly cold and refreshing! It's an awesome lake to kayak on, for sure, and I still can't believe we were the only ones on it!

I thought Lake McD was warmer. Yes great place to kayak but good idea to stay close to shore with water that cold.

Just awesome. The kayak looks like a perfect fit for that lake.

I could tell when I drove by in July that it would be a good place to kayak and camp. Lots of people driving by but not many getting out on the lakes except Lake Louise and Moraine Lake where you can rent boats.
