Frosty old farm house

It's been foggy here in the valley for days each morning and frost has been building up on all of the trees.  They say the weather is going to change so I thought I'd better get a picture before all of this frost goes away.  So I pulled over on my way to work and took some pictures of an old farm house.  I wonder what things were like when this house was new, and who were the people who lived here.  They chose a nice spot to build overlooking the river and things were more quiet back then.  How nice it must have been.  Now there's a busy street that goes right by, and a place that sells cigarettes and a strip club just down the road.

Oh wow! What a photo! I'd frame that one and put it on a wall. I love its mysterious look. I'm sure the commercial properties were a bummer when they went in there, but if you didn't know that, you'd think this was just out on an ol' country road, in peaceful solitude.

That is very pretty. I like your musings about a quieter time...

Jules, this old place stands vacant like an empty skeleton of a life once lived. There's still some solitude to be found around there.

Christine, other than the cars going by it's still pretty quiet. Most of the excitement is down the road, but how nice it must have been back in the day.
