Memory card, hot water tank and a mandolin

I was looking at all of the photos on my various memory cards wich were all full. It gets to the point that you have to make the decision to keep them or not. I finally made a folder and put some of them in it and cleared off one card. I'd show you some of them but I don't have them here, and honestly,.. they weren't that great.

My hot water tank started to leak. So tomorrow I'm going to buy a new one and install it. That will be fun.. It shouldn't be too big of a deal actually. We will see.. I don't mind not having hot water so much, but not having water at all could be a bad thing, so I'll have to resolve this situation once I start in.

Also I've been thinking about buying a mandolin. I used to play a mandolin when I was a kid before I played guitar, and I backed up my dad who played banjo. They are strung like a violin and I played that in orchestra, so since I (sort of) know how to play I might as well get one. They don't cost that much and I was thinking it would be an easy thing to travel with, and it's nice to have something to do with your hands while you are sitting around. Who knows? I might get into it. The guy below in the Rhonda Vincent video on mando rocks.

My first song will be called: Memory card, hot water tank and a mandolin.

I have some memory cards I should clear out, but then it's like, they also serve as my backup. So what happens when I get rid of my computer (or put Linux on it and wipe the memory)?

I'm kind of glad I don't have a house yet. I don't think I could handle all of the home repairs and upgrades that you do.

Yes you should get a mandolin. And you should record and post your first song when you figure it out. :)

I've found that memory cards aren't the most reliable backup but I guess it's better than nothing.

I don't mind some of the home repairs. It's nice to know how to do some of that stuff and my house isn't all that old so I guess there's always something when you own a house.

I'll get a mandolin at some point. I've been wanting one.

I have a little pile of memory cards all packed with hotos and videos too... I haven't had either the time or the heart to sort through and dispose of them yet. But I'm not sure I will.. for me, with such a crap memory, my photos are my means of remembering.

Can't wait to hear your mandolin song.. will it be posted on youtube? ;O)

I enjoy your photos Jules. I'm the same way with cards. It's so easy to take lots of pics. I'm sitting here looking at 5 cards right now.

I need to get a mando first, but I'm afraid if you want to hear me play you're gonna have to sit around the campfire.
