Gondola

I don't know what it is about riding this gondola that I like so much. Perhaps all of those James Bond movies I used to watch,..dum da da da da dum dum dum,..

A picture from inside the gondola. I don't know why they bother with foreign languages. Perhaps foreigners smoke and throw things out of gondolas unless you tell them not to ?.. :)

I undid my boot buckles and enjoyed the ride back down after a nice day of skiing.

Do you get a lot of German and French speakers coming there to ski?

Not that I'm aware of, although I did hear someone speaking German a few weeks ago. We seem to get more visitors from Japan.

I guess it's a good idea as they run this gondola in summer and someone might throw a cigarette butt out the window and start a forest fire.

I think the gondola just came with those warnings.

Come to think of it, I'm seeing less and less people smoke while they are on the ski lifts. Usually they are young people. Kids. I did ride the chairlift yesterday behind a guy who was smoking a cigar. I think that was a first. It didn't smell bad.
