Dogs and cats

This drawing caught my eye yesterday as we were looking through student artwork. I think I know that dog on the left...

Ah, but what about the cat? ;)

The cat is marginalized by the artist..

Those are some of the scariest animals I've ever seen... mind you... my 3 year old hasn't reached the stage where he draws more than funky faces, lines and squiggles... so I guess my time is coming.

This picture was drawn by a 6th grader...(I'm not kidding) (and not that I don't like it)

Who's idea was it to cut funding for art?..

The republicans deserve what they get... Art police that they are/ were.

Really? A 6th grader?

That is awfully sad.

I read a headline last week that said Governor Schwarzenegger wanted to shorten the school year by five days. . . .not exactly a good idea in my book.

I do like the picture actually.

It's charming and free. So I'm torn a little. The student captured the essence of the dogs and their relationship with the cat. The young dog on the left is full of energy, while the tired old brown dog on the right with his red teeth and red ear horn, pauses to try and relieve himself as nature calls. For him the cat can wait.
