When I was a kid I used to hate going down Montana Highway 28 in the backseat of the family car. It was usually hot and dusty, and my sister was back there too. For the most part it went like this,. Dad drove. Mom rode shotgun,. I sat behind mom and my sister sat behind Dad. Good thing there were only four of us..
I don't mind driving down that road now but they recently improved the highway around Niarada. It's kind of sad in a way, and I miss that old road. It had more character. Felt more like Montana should..
Here's a picture I took of Highway 28 before they changed it.

What does it look like now? Wider road? Maybe I'll see it for myself someday.
This photo is lovely.. I really like the movement it has.. on the ground and in the clouds.
I'm sure it's got snow on it today
We had so many road trips like this too, within AB and BC. It was always Dad driving, Christine in the passenger seat, and in the back it was always my brother on one side, sister on the other and me always stuck in the crappy middle seat. My brother and sister could never sit together, they'd fight the whole way.. lol.
That's me. Always have been the peacekeeper.
At least in the middle you had the best view of the road. The middle of the road. There was never much peace between my sister and me.
