This is what the sky looked like when I got to Flathead Lake on Friday. That is all forest fire smoke as it swallowed up the last bit of blue sky. Then the smoke rained down ash upon us. It made everything dirty, the lake, the air, my boat, and me.

But it looks gorgeous!
It made for some interesting photos but it got old. The ash got on everything. I was drinking a cup of coffee in the morning and it would fall out of the sky and into my cup. If you touched anything it got on your hands. Montana is a mess right now. It's nice to be in Washington with clean blue sky! I usually escape to Montana for clean air when they burn the fields here in Washington.
